Build real products with focused teams that own whole problems, led by directors who expect the best of people and say so.

Why work at Lenor Ventures?

Lenor Ventures builds real products, from a clinic system in daily use to safety and health wearables, and runs services for businesses and governments. Each problem goes to a specialist who owns it end to end, led by directors who expect the best of people and say so.

Why Work With Us

The Pygmalion Effect: How We Lead

In 1968, the psychologists Robert Rosenthal and Lenore Jacobson told teachers at a California primary school that certain pupils were about to show unusual intellectual growth. Those pupils had in fact been picked at random. By the end of the year many of them, especially in the youngest classes, had gained more on intelligence tests than their classmates. The teachers’ higher expectations had changed how they taught, and the children rose to meet them. The study, Pygmalion in the Classroom, named the effect after the sculptor in Greek myth whose belief brought his statue to life.

The same pattern holds at work. In Pygmalion in Management (Harvard Business Review, 1969), J. Sterling Livingston showed that what managers expect of their people, and how they treat them as a result, largely shapes how those people perform. Expectations fulfil themselves.

This is the idea at the centre of how Lenor Ventures is led. When the leaders believe completely in where the company is going, and in the people taking it there, reaching the goal stops feeling like a gamble. It becomes a prophecy the team fulfils together.

How It Works Here

  1. Expect

We set goals worth reaching, and tell you plainly that we believe you will reach them.

  2. Equip

You get the context, the tools and the people you need, including why the work matters to the client.

  3. Trust

You own the whole problem, from the first question to a result that runs, and make the calls along the way.

  4. Recognise

Good work is credited to you by name, inside the company and in front of the client.

Our Values

Open Roles

We hire when a problem needs a specialist, so there is no fixed list of openings. If you are that specialist, tell us what you have built and the problem you want to work on.
